Imane Ayissi was born in Cameroon in a family of talents: athletes, musicians and artists.

Imane started his career as a dancer at the National Ballet of Cameroon and, at the same time, the young man became interested in fashion. Soon he got a job as a stylist in the largest workshop for the production of ready-made clothes.

In the early 90s, Imane moved to France and began his modeling career in Paris, taking part in the fashion shows of the largest fashion houses (Dior, Lanvin, YSL, Valentino, Givenchy, Cardin, Montana, etc.). It was at this time that he decided to devote himself entirely to fashion design.

Imane Ayissi creates an haute couture and ready-to-wear line with boutiques in South Africa, Cameroon and Japan.

The designer has displayed his collections in Rome as part of AltaRoma and he regularly takes part in African fashion weeks (Fima, Arise in Lagos, Nigeria, etc.).

This year, Imane presented his new collection in Paris, as part of the Haute-Couture week.

Dance art influences the designer’s work. Folds, draperies, “cascades” are the main points of the “live” dynamic silhouette.

Imane Ayissi’s credo is the use of natural materials; he prefers organic cotton, vegetable-tanned leather, textiles dyed with natural ingredients.
